(May 29)[Notes:ANCHOR VOICE] SOT: Its my unfortunate ... Death of one my employees. 24-year-old Terrese (tuh-REE-suh) Edmunds, a train operator for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, was killed Wednesday night when the train she was operating slammed into the back of another two-car train as it approached the Woodland Station in Newton -- just outside of Boston. For hours, firefighters struggled to rescue Edmunds, who was trapped in the wreckage. The accident happened about six o'clock. Officials say the two-car trolley that was rear-ended was just emerging from a scheduled stop-light when it was hit from behind. Several others were injured.SOT: At least six were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. Five others were treated and released at the scene. The National Transportation Safety Board will now head up the investigation into exactly what happened.
